Impact Shearing 2As part of our diversified manufacturing capabilities, at Green’s Metal Cut-Off we produce impact shear parts from all types of round metal bar stock. Impact shearing is a cost-effective, high-yield method for producing cut pieces, such as pins or machining blanks, in low or high volumes.

Capabilities

Inside our 9,700 square-foot facility, we operate impact shears with various capacities, which allows us to handle round rod with diameters anywhere in the 0.031″ to 0.250″ range. We produce cut-off lengths that measure up to 4.35″ and uphold standard tolerances of ± 0.0025″.

Shearing cuts without forming chips, and it produces minimal kerf. Our technicians adjust cutting forces and shear speed based on the hardness of the metal to obtain the best results, and with our high-output capabilities, we can produce impact shear parts at a lightning fast pace to turn orders around swiftly. We shear pieces from an extensive selection of metals, from softer ones such as aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, and zinc, as well as high-hardness metals, such as titanium and various grades of steel and nickel alloys.
